Family
As the 3rd child, 1st son of 6 kids, I appreciate the relationship I have with my family. The size of my immediate family pales in comparison to that of my mother’s; she is the oldest of 9.
I love being a husband! Sarah was kind enough to say, “Yes” when asked to marry me, and “I do” on the day of our wedding. (If she can just put up with me for…ever, we’ll do fine.) Ours has been a long, difficult road, but the good has far outweighed the bad, and we continue to improve each other, and ourselves.
I’m especially sensitive to my role as a father, in part because my daughter has been challenged with cerebral palsy. When Jennifer was born, I learned very quickly that she didn’t come with an instruction manual, or a how-to guide. She and I have learned and grown together through many challenges, places, and relationships. I admire her maturity, and I’m grateful for her smile and uplifting attitude.
